RULES:
QUALIFICATIONS TO SUBMIT
There are five ways an applicant can be eligible to submit. He/she can either be born, raised, or currently reside in New England. In addition, those who work at or attend New England schools are qualified. Lastly, a film made in the New England area is also eligible. (Proper documentation for proof is required.) New England includes Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Maine.
(Applicant must be one or all of the following in order to submit and must show proof of residency)
1) A born New Englander (MA, RI, CT, NH, VT, ME) currently living in New England or Elsewhere around the world.
2) Raised in New England but not a Native born New Englander, who has lived in any New England state within the last 5 years.
3) Current Resident in New England (MA, RI, CT, NH, VT, ME)
4) Currently attending or working at a New England College, university, studio, or institution.
5) Films made in the New England Area within the past 4 years with proof that the film submitted has been shot in the New England area (a valid student ID for recent graduates and/or permits, bills, etc.)
6) A Native New Englander who had recently lived in New England in the last years but no longer reside in New England.
REQUIREMENTS to Submit:
1) SHORT FILMS ONLY (about 20-25 mins Max.) will be accepted at this time. ANYTHING OVER WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
2) Films made AFTER December 2004 will be accepted. Any films before this date will not be accepted.
3) Each Entrant must submit an entry form and entry fee for EACH film he or she wishes to submit.
4) All entries MUST be submitted on MiniDV tape only and must be cued and ready for jurying, (please also provide a time code of your piece if your tape isn’t cued.) No Other format will be accepted.
5) Entry forms with all information provided are clearly ledge able.
6) Films submitted must be NTSC FORMAT ONLY
7) NO FEATURE FILMS. Sorry.
8) All Materials are properly labeled
ALL ENTRIES MUST PROVIDE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
1) Please show photocopy of two forms of ID to show proof of residency that is UP TO DATE. (Ex. State Issued License or ID, student ID, addressed letter, Etc.)
2) Please include a Director’s/ Filmmaker’s bio, Contact Info (address, e-mail, phone, cell, fax, etc.), A Synopsis/ Description of the film/ films being entered.
3) Please include the Entry Fee for each film you wish to submit
4) Please Provide a Time code and length of the film
5) Completed Entry form for each film entered
6) MINI DV TAPE of film/ films being submitted for entry
7) Please Provide 2 JPEGS OR Photoshop Still Images Or Photos of your film (Images at 300 dpi, 4x6 size) and a photo Image of the Filmmaker/Director of the film

NOTE:
ANY STUDENT (UNDERGRAD OR GRAD) WHO HAS RECENTLY GRADUATED FROM A NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY INSTITUTION WITH IN LESS THAN 1 YEAR IS STILL ELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT WORK AT THE STUDENT DISCOUNT RATE, PROVIDING PHOTOCOPIED PROOF OF STUDENT ID AND DIPLOMA/ OR CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION FROM THE SCHOOL YOU ATTENDED. ANY MATERIAL MISSING WITH THE ENTRY WILL BE EITHER REJECTED UNTIL PROPER PROOF IS SHOWN, OR BE CHARGED FULL RATE OR DISMISSED COMPLETELY.

- June 30th- REGULAR Deadline (Post Marked by)

- July 31st- LATE Entry (Post Marked by)
• $20 for Students w/ ID
• $30 for General Entry
- September 1st- EXTENDED FINAL DEADLINE (Post Marked by)
• $25 for Students w/ ID
• $35 for General Entry
ANY ENTRY THAT DOES NOT MEET ANY OF THE CRITERIA OR MISSING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS MENTION ABOVE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Please write checks and money orders to LIZ ROBBINS or BEN CHOU and write the NAME of YOUR FILM in the memo box on the check and orders.

If you wish to have your tape returned to you whether it is chosen or not, please write a note making that request and a self-addressed, stamped envelope all with your entry material. No note and stamped envelope, no return… sorry.

You will be contacted VIA email if you film has or hasn’t been accepted in to the Film festival sometime in September. A list of films that will be selected will be posted on the site sometime in October.
